Now, more than ever this type of support is so valuable, and it is a fully integrated part of NARFA membership. Speakers: John E. Christian Ed. M., LADC I, CADC, SAP, CCFC Michael Gamsby MSW, LCSW, LADC-I, CCFC Mr. Christian is President and Chief Executive Officer as well as a clinician at Modern Assistance. He is a substance abuse and mental health counselor, criminal justice specialist, and is an expert witness for clients in the Massachusetts court system. He was formerly the Director of Social Services for the Homeless Services Bureau of the Boston Public Health Commission where he oversaw vocational rehabilitation programs, adult education, and prisoner reentry services at the Long Island Shelter. He has been in the human services field since 1993. Michael has worked in the substance use and mental health field for the past five years. He holds a Masters of Social Work from Simmons College and a Bachelors of Science in Biology and Environmental Studies from Tufts University. He is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and a Clinically Certified Forensics Counselor.
