Due to the COVID19 all Propane Industry trade shows and expos were cancelled making it difficult for vendors, suppliers and marketers of propane who rely on these event for continued learning and completing new purchase requirements. In response the industry created an online expo called VirtualPropaneExpo.com that allows them to remotely, online to listen to national speakers and connect with industry vendors in a way that is safe and accessible thereby helping during this crisis.

The Virtual Propane Expo Launched on April 29 to allow propane delivery companies and their suppliers to meet on a virtual online platform thereby allowing the “show to go on” despite the restrictions associated with the Caronavirus.

Propane companies are now able to connect with nationally recognized expert presenters, gain free registration to over 150 exhibitors for a first ever national online propane expo. Groundswell ideas like this are helping industries like the propane industry keep their employees safe and comply with travel restrictions in times where it might not be safe to attend a trade show or expo. The propane industry found sponsors to help make the entire program possible. Sponsors include: Anova, Signature Trucks, Qualpay, Otodata, TSG, Mississippi Tank, MTankCo, SkyTracker, Tank Spotter, H&H Sales, Angus Energy, CustomFuelApp.com, Jarco, and Propane University. In order to help the industry during these times when economic conditions are uncertain the industry decided to make registration complimentary so more could attend making it accessible for everyone in the industry, another first for the industry. Speaker presentations will occur April 29 and throughout the month.

The propane industry delivers a combustible product that requires continual safety training on an annual basis. It is therefore critical that everyone gets training and that they keep up with new training rules and regulations. The national trade shows are where we learn about everything. Now everyone can still get that training which is critical to the safety of the employees and customers. This online virtual expo was created to help make that training accessible to all.

The thing that makes it different is that it’s a fully online trade show dedicated to the propane industry. At this point interest has been very high with more unique visitors than what might visit the largest national trade shows.

trade show from their home or office.

Bill Stomp – President and founder of VPE is Bill a war veteran and an industry veteran who as run several propane companies, and now leads a software company which created a Propane Employee app that won World Propane competition for best propane app in the Americas and best Safety/Service/Sales app in the world.

– Stuart Flatow, previously VP of PERC, with over 20 years of executive experience in the Propane and Association industry

– Peter Gilman, previously VP of several propane related companies with over 20 years of executive experience in the Propane industry
